What these numbers are
They come from requests BetaDrop actually served. For every install page, OTA manifest, download and upload, we record whether it succeeded and how long it took, and total those by hour. Nothing here is a synthetic test.
That means this page cannot tell you about an outage. If the service is unreachable, it serves no requests, and no requests means no data — not a wall of errors. So a gap on this page means “we have nothing to show for those hours”, never “those hours were fine”. We draw the gaps rather than filling them with zeros, because a zero would look like a good day. A quiet hour and an unreachable hour look the same here, and we would rather say that than pretend to tell them apart.
We also count only server errors. A link that expired on schedule, a wrong password, or a build that was disabled are all the product working as designed — counting them would show an outage every time somebody’s link ran out.
There is no uptime percentage on this page, and there is no SLA behind it. We are a small team running a single origin, and a number we cannot measure is worth less than the sentence explaining why we are not printing one. If something is broken for you and this page disagrees, that is possible, and telling us is more useful than any dashboard.
