What these identifiers are used for

In a social or messaging app the bundle ID is what ties a build to its push certificate and its App Group, so a single character wrong there and notifications stop arriving on a test device. The App Store ID is the number you hand to a review prompt, a smart banner or a deep link. Apple generates it with the app record and it cannot be edited; the bundle ID locks once a build has been uploaded.
